Chris Winters Atlas Shrugged pg. 48-154

It is evident that Dagny can be seen as the powerful individual in the company. I found myself constantly fascinated with the decisions that Dagny makes in order to make Taggart Continental successful.  She is trying to save the company and her brother seems to be miserably moping in his office, making him seem like the women. I was furious when I read that Jim took full credit for removing all his valuable assets from the San Sebastian Railroad, when in fact Dagny was the one to remove everything and save his money.
As the story progressed I found it interesting that two perspective of who John Galt is came up in chapter VI and VII. From one perspective he is described as being a millionaire who discovered Atlantis, and Francisco reassures this statement. I found Francisco this proclaimed businessman who doesn’t seem to care that he blew his chance to become a billionaire to be rather discontent even though he doesn’t seem to express it. As well, the second perspective describes Galt as the founder of the fountain of youth. I feel as though these interpretations of Galt might actually be somewhat true. Personally I feel as though he might be a millionaire who is young and this might resemble the fountain of youth. Hopefully as we progress though the story we will find the answer to who Galt actually is.
I found it ironic how it seemed as though Dagny was in power of the company the whole time and in chapter VII she eventually resigns from the down falling Taggart Transcontinental in order to start her own railroad company. Her company surprisingly will be called the John Galt Line. I don’t understand why she would call it this, since it has no correlation to her whatsoever but hopefully that will be explained later.
